Freedom pushed their score all the way to ten on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell victim to a  tough 17-10 defeat at the hands of the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles. Freedom has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  John Phillips was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also only allowed one  walk). Phillips was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Geovanny Ledee was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases. Another player making a difference was  Alex Suarez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Like Freedom, Nazareth Area also got a great game from a two-way player:  David Bertz. He  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Bertz was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-5 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news, Nazareth Area let  Mason Kuehner and  Chase Kilareski loose on the outfield. Kuehner  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Kilareski  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-6. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew Daems, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Freedom now  has a losing record at 1-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom will take on Parkland at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Nazareth Area, they will be playing at home against Emmaus at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Nazareth Area will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
