Baseball Recap: Donahue Catholic Takes a Loss

If Donahue Catholic was riding high fresh off their 23-6 takedown of Naples Classical last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Shamrocks lost 21-6 to the Immokalee Indians on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 two weeks ago.

Jack Kadlec was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Donahue Catholic is 4-1 when Kadlec posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise.

Donahue Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Immokalee, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Donahue Catholic will challenge The Village School of Naples at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Immokalee, they have already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Clewiston on the 1st.
