Softball Recap: Campbell Has No Trouble Against Hayti

Campbell won the last time they faced Hayti and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Camels were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Camels.

Hartlee Wills made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Wills was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Paige Knotts was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Monica Serrano was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Campbell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Campbell's victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Coming up, Campbell will head out on the road to take on Holcomb at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hayti does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
