Last Friday, Copenhagen didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Belleville Henderson Central, but they still walked away with a 36-31 victory. The victory was just what Copenhagen needed coming off of a 57-34 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Samuel Carroll, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Caden Miller, who scored 15 points.
Even though Sandy Creek has not done well against Copenhagen recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on January 4th. Everything went Sandy Creek's way against Copenhagen as Sandy Creek made off with a 70-47 win. Sandy Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Copenhagen's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Sandy Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Copenhagen might still be hurting after the 70-47 loss they got from Sandy Creek when the teams last played on January 4th. Can Copenhagen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
