Payette is 0-10 against Weiser since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Payette Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Weiser Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Payette is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Payette scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-13 victory over Ontario. That looming 49-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Payette yet this season.
Payette can attribute much of their success to Sianna Gable , who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals, and Bella Nunez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Marie Auxier, who scored two points.
Meanwhile, Weiser waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 victory over Nyssa.
Payette's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Weiser, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Payette took a serious blow against Weiser in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-17. Can Payette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
