Ribault won the last time they faced Westside and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 21-8 victory. Considering the Trojans have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jayden Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Ribault is 3-1 when Miller allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ribault got a massive performance out of Jaquan Marion, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Marion is becoming a predictor of the Trojans' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 6-8 when he doesn't). Braylin Clarke was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Ribault now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Westside, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Ribault will face off against First Coast at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westside, they will take on Yulee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
