Royse City is on a three-game streak of home losses, Horn a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Royse City Bulldogs will take on the Horn Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to 31 points the game before, Royse City were a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Rockwall-Heath, falling 38-3. Royse City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-3.
Meanwhile, Horn came up short against Rockwall-Heath two weeks ago and fell 16-3. While losing is never fun, Horn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Rockwall-Heath is ranked 47th).
Despite the defeat, Horn saw an underclassman step up: Levon Morton gained 139 total yards.
Royse City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Horn, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Royse City might still be hurting after the 35-10 loss they got from Horn in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will Royse City have more luck at home instead of on the road?
