West took a serious blow against the Rams on Wednesday, falling 58-31. West was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-9.
St. Mary's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cayden Ward out in front who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Perasso, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season. As for St. Mary's, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
West will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Mary's, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tokay has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
