After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edison, The Linden Lions were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Stagg for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-0 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Linden, who have now won seven games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Landen Ly, who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Ly's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Jay Reams made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Linden's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for Stagg, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Linden will be playing in front of their home fans against Weston Ranch at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Weston Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 731st, while Linden is ranked 333rd). As for Stagg, they will head out on the road to face off against Chavez at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
