Softball Recap: Manvel Gets the Win

Manvel's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Pasadena Memorial 13-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Manvel considering their one-run performance the game before.

Skylar Frederick was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Carrier, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Manvel now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Pasadena Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manvel will take on Shadow Creek at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will face off against Dawson at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. Pasadena Memorial has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
