Baseball Recap: Creekside Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Creekside hadn't done well against Lincoln recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Creekside Knights put the hurt on the Lincoln Trojans with a sharp 10-3 victory. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 8-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Connor Balazic was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Morton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Creekside pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Creekside will face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Creekside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Lowndes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
