The Dodge County Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 24 points or more this season. They really took it to Jeff Davis for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-23 win on the road. With that victory, Dodge County brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
It was another big night for Lyric Green, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ja"Vonna Hamilton, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
Dodge County pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dodge County will challenge Fitzgerald at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jeff Davis and Telfair County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Telfair County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
