Skyline is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against Blackfoot, falling 3-0.
Skyline took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 28-26.

Despite the loss, Skyline saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leila Molifua had 16 digs and three assists. Molifua is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest faced Shelley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Russets. That makes it the first time this season the Knights have let down their home crowd.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 25-14.
Skyline will need to focus on slowing down Ali Maddux, one of several Hillcrest players who made an impact when they last played. She had 19 digs and two assists.
Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Hillcrest, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 18-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Skyline has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 aces.
