The Central Lions and the Autaugaville Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Central Lions had to settle for second. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-47 to the Eagles. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Autaugaville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Iyanis Wallace, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Jaderrick Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Central has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which is still a better percentage than their 5-16 record this season. As for Autaugaville, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Autaugaville, they will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calhoun is coming into the matchup with five straight wins at home, meaning Autaugaville will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
