It was a good run, but the Northeast Metro RVT Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 59-46 to Swampscott. Northeast Metro RVT lost against Swampscott in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 84-46 score last time.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kerry Jean, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Jean grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Zullo, who scored 14 points.
Northeast Metro RVT now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Swampscott, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Northeast Metro RVT will head out on the road to face off against Stoneham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Swampscott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marblehead at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
