Cedar Grove-Belgium is 0-10 against Random Lake since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rockets are taking a road trip to square off against the Rams at 5:00 p.m. Cedar Grove-Belgium has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Cedar Grove-Belgium and Manitowoc Lutheran had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rockets lost 19-1 to the Lancers on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by exactly 18 runs.
Cedar Grove-Belgium saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jorjie Mejchar, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Random Lake got the win against Oostburg on Thursday by a conclusive 16-1. Considering the Rams have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Danika Eberhardt made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chloe Thill was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Natalie Arndt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Random Lake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Random Lake pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Cedar Grove-Belgium might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Random Lake in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
