After two games on the road, Scotia-Glenville is heading back home. They will take on the Amsterdam Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scotia-Glenville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Amsterdam is ranked 217th).
Even though Broadalbin-Perth scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Scotia-Glenville still came out on top. Scotia-Glenville pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Broadalbin-Perth. The win was just what Scotia-Glenville needed coming off of a 71-34 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Amsterdam's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 55-43 to Gloversville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Amsterdam has scored all season.
Amsterdam's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Miller, who scored seven points along with five assists and three blocks, and Rocco Natale who scored 12 points. Jude Flint was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Scotia-Glenville's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Amsterdam, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Things could have been worse for Scotia-Glenville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-48 loss to Amsterdam in their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
