Monroe had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Paul Buckaroos a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Dragons have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroe and bumps their season record up to 15-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for St. Paul, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-11.

Monroe has already played their next contest, a 10-2 victory against Myrtle Point on the 29th. St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
