Joppatowne can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Bel Air at home to the tune of 78-51. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-21.
Joppatowne found their leader in underclassman Kishann Smith, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Phil Clark, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for North East, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-50 loss to Bohemia Manor last Friday.
Joppatowne's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for North East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Everything came up roses for Joppatowne against North East when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 68-28 victory. With Joppatowne ahead 37-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
