Despite the defeat, Fisher had strong showings from Melina Luyando, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Jenna Clemmons, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds. That was a full 42.4% of Fisher's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fisher has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for El Paso-Gridley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Fisher will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeview at 5:03 p.m. on Thursday. Fisher is coming into the match with four straight defeats at home, meaning Ridgeview will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for El Paso-Gridley, they will head out on the road to square off against Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Paso-Gridley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Eureka is ranked 113th).
