St. Marys has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Trinity Christian Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully St. Marys is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian in West Virginia (St. Marys is ranked 68th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 248th).
St. Marys pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Ravenswood. St. Marys has not had much luck with Ravenswood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian earned a 64-52 victory over Frankfort last Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Christian.
Chayce Adams was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ben Lohmann, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.
St. Marys has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
St. Marys lost to Trinity Christian on the road by a decisive 63-48 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can St. Marys avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
