After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tioga, Moravia was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over the Marathon Olympians. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 14-13 loss the last time these two teams met.
Taleigh Sheppard made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Sheppard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
