Frontier had lost seven straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-14 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Woodland Cougars with a sharp 16-10 victory. The Mustangs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 30th (when they won 15-4).
Lincoln Ingmire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Connor Ingmire was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Williams, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Frontier: they've now lost four in a row.
On Woodland's side, AUSTIN WILSON made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. WILSON has become a key player for the Cougars: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was KHAMDYN PATTERSON, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodland, they will face off against Tonkawa at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
