Mountain View took down Centennial 53-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Borah made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 951 from 1,256. The improvement came about via a 38-21 victory over Vallivue last week.
The Lions' dynamic duo of Cole Skinner and Justin Coburn proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Skinner threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns and Coburn had 92 yards receiving. Kion Williams helped Borah's passing attack out by catching four balls for 64 yards.
Colter Mann made the biggest impact on defense this week as Borah topped Vallivue. The sophomore racked up one sack.
Makena Simis was the most productive running back in 5A Southern Idaho this week. He ran for 189 yards on 22 carries as Capital bested Layne Coffin's team. Teammate TJ Clarke added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Borah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Skinner has thrown for 1700 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Williams has 38 catches for 879 yards. Hunter Kenyon leads the league in rushing with 882 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Boise and Timberline. The Braves comes into the matchup ranked 22nd in the state, while the Wolves ranks 23rd.
The Mavericks led 5A Southern Idaho in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on the Patriots.
