After flying high against Smithville last Saturday, Lorena came back down to earth. The Lorena Leopards fell just short of the North Crowley Panthers by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Leopards' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lorena's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2-1. As for North Crowley, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Looking ahead, Lorena will be playing at home against Groesbeck at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Crowley, they will head out to take on Mineral Wells at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mineral Wells' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so North Crowley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
