Basketball Recap: Grace Prep Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Grace Prep had won two straight home games and Mj Boyd did his part to make it three on Friday. The Grace Prep Lions took down the Southwest Christian School Eagles 64-47 thanks in part to Boyd, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jesiah Williams, who posted four points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Grace Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Southwest Christian School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Prep will square off against All S at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Grace Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Southwest Christian School, they will face off against Coram Deo Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Christian School is facing Coram Deo Academy at the right time seeing as Coram Deo Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
