After a string of seven wins, Faith Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were outmatched by Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at home and fell 69-41. Faith Christian Academy was down 49-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was John Schleeter, who scored eight points along with three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Sam Akins was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian suffered a rough 75-50 defeat at the hands of Blue Ridge Christian on Friday. Heritage Christian has not had much luck with Blue Ridge Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Faith Christian Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5. As for Heritage Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Faith Christian Academy against Heritage Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 75-32 win. With Faith Christian Academy ahead 41-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
