St. Andrews-Sewanee narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 45-43.
When it comes to explaining why Berean Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Austen Harvey. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Wigginton, who scored eight points.
The victory got St. Andrews-Sewanee back to even at 8-8. As for Berean Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-1.
St. Andrews-Sewanee's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Berean Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hixson has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
