finished her senior season much like her other three varsity years. She
had 522 kills, 210 digs, 46 aces, 115 assists and 123
blocks. In four seasons, she totaled 2,153 kills and 412 blocks.
MH/MB - Sierra Hubbard Neil, St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, Mich.), 5-11 JuniorNiel
recorded 450 Kills, 437 digs, 64 aces (95 percent on 460 attempts),
270 service receptions (13 errors) and 52 blocks as St. Philip won its
seventh-straight state title.
MH/OH - Kara Stamper, Heritage Academy (Hagerstown, Md.), 6-1 SeniorStamper
led her team to the state tournament and a 29-2-1 record. She recorded
593 kills, 102 aces (90 percent), 94 blocks, 280 digs and had only 10
service errors on 157 receptions.
OH - Shealene Little, Culver (Ore.), 6-0 SophomoreThe
state's most dominant 2A player, Little led Culver (26-5-1) to the
Oregon 2A championship. She totaled 502 kills, 102 aces, 212 digs and
had 18 blocks.
OH - Thelma Flores, Leon (Jewett, Texas), 5-11 JuniorFlores
totaled 357 kills, 105 aces (552 serves), 42 blocks, 323 digs and
300 serve receptions to lead Leon (42-4) to the Texas 1A state title.
OH - Dani Eschweiler, St. Charles West (Mo.), 5-11 SeniorEschweiler
led St. Charles to a 27-4-1 record as she collected 490 kills (68.1 percent),
378 digs, 34 blocks and had only five service errors in 254 attempts
(98 percent).
OH - Aubreigh Applegate, Wapahani (Selma, Ind.), 5-8 SeniorApplegate
was a key as Wapahani captured the 2A championship. She collected 433
kills, 338 digs and 41 blocks. All four of Wapahani's losses were at
the hands of much larger schools.
OH - Katie Staiger, Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas), 6-1 SeniorStaiger led
Prestonwood to a 38-3 record and totaled 650 kills, 301 digs,
27 aces (94.5 percent on 392 serves), 35 blocks and 359 serve receptions.
She will play for Baylor in 2013.
OH/OPP - Alex Holston, Sherwood (Sandy Spring, Md.), 6-1 Senior

Holston led Sherwood to the state 4A title and a 19-0 record as she
collected 370 kills, 47 blocks, 59 aces, 153 digs, and 163 serve
receptions. Holston is the 2011 Maryland Gatorade State Player of the Year.
She will attend Florida in 2013.
S - Gaby Steiner, Branson (Ross, Calif.), 5-8 SeniorSteiner totaled 770 assists, 184 digs, 49 aces (93.1 percent serving) as Branson won the California D-V title.
S - Sydney Chandler, Bayside Academy (Daphne, Ala.), 5-8 Junior

Chandler is the third member of the Bayside Academy team to earn A-A status. In helping Bayside to its 11th-straight state title, Chandler recorded 130 aces, 54 blocks, 205 digs and 1,465 assists. A starter as an eighth grader, Chandler earned her fourth state title and will be back in 2013.
DS/L - Rachel Fish, North Branch (Mich.), 5-7 SeniorFish recorded 878 digs, 117 aces, 33 assists and 21 kills for North Branch this season.
AA - Rachel Holthaus, Winona (Mo.), 5-11 SophomoreHolthaus led Winona to a 32-7 record while playing middle, outside hitter and setter. She had 395 kills, 33 aces, 94 blocks, 154 digs and 381 assists in 2012.
AA - McKenna Hollingsworth, Tri-City Christian (Vista, Calif.), 6-1 JuniorHollingsworth
led Tri-City to the California D-V finals. She totaled 358 kills, 150
assists, 51 aces, 38 blocks, 168 digs and had 202 serve receptions.
AA - Katherine Broussard, Metairie Park Country Day (La.), 5-7 SeniorIn leading her team to the Louisiana D-5 state title, Broussard earned her fifth State Tournament MVP award and is a five-time All-State player. She totaled 382 kills, 62 aces, 31 blocks and 356 digs as CDHS was 40-6 on the season.
