The Brewbaker Tech Rams and the Park Crossing Thunderbirds will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Brewbaker Tech pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Selma 62-58. Brewbaker Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brewbaker Tech's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kevin Honer, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Honer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Dixon, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Park Crossing lost to Charles Henderson on the road by a decisive 62-43 margin on Tuesday.
Loss or not, Park Crossing got some senior leadership from Jayden Scott and Chris Simms. Scott scored 16 points, while Simms. scored 12 points.
Brewbaker Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Park Crossing, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Fans should be in for an exciting game on Thursday as the pair are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Brewbaker Tech hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.5 points per game. However, it's not like Park Crossing struggles in that department as they've been averaging 56.6 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
