The Mooresville Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Forbush Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mooresville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Mooresville and A.L. Brown, and Mooresville kept the tradition alive. The Blue Devils never let the Wonders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Blue Devils have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mooresville let Southern Smith-Tilley and Gavin Barber run wild. Smith-Tilley scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Barber scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave Smith-Tilley a new career-high. Tanner Waugh was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Surry Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Forbush proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Golden Eagles. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Joesph Barnes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aaron Hutchens, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Mooresville pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Forbush, their record now sits at 9-3.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mooresville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Forbush struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mooresville suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Forbush in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
