Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampton). They put the hurt on the Heritage Hurricanes with a sharp 21-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Crabbers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Ashton Green and Austin Silva made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Green struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Silva pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Green got on base in two of his five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base, while Silva went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Silva a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hampton got a massive performance out of Ike Ziemba, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave Ziemba a new career-high.
