Oswego East hasn't had much luck against Yorkville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wolves will face off against the Foxes at 4:30 p.m. Oswego East will be strutting in after a win while Yorkville will be coming in after a defeat.
Oswego East barely beat Bolingbrook the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves blew past the Raiders 14-3 on Monday. Considering the Wolves have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sophia Anderson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lundin Cornelius was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Katie Maday was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Yorkville didn't have quite enough to beat Minooka on Tuesday and fell 8-6. The Foxes haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Yorkville also got a good showing from Isabella Rosauer, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Rosauer gave up only four walks, the fewest she's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Callie Ferko led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. Brooke Ekwinski also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 8-6. As for Oswego East, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
