Hatboro-Horsham is a perfect 3-0 against New Hope-Solebury since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Hatters will venture away from home to face off against the Lions at 3:45 p.m. Hatboro-Horsham's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so New Hope-Solebury's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Hatboro-Horsham needed a bit of extra time to put away Wissahickon. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Trojans. The win continues a trend for the Hatters in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won eight in a row.
Hatboro-Horsham's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maya Ravi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Ravi snagged this season. Adriana DeLeon was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Hope-Solebury). They put the hurt on William Tennent with a sharp 18-3 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Mabel Klossner and Dagny Mobley were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Klossner tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Mobley tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Klossner has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Klossner went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Mobley went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Harris, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Danielle Wilson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
New Hope-Solebury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
The victory got New Hope-Solebury back to even at 4-4. As for Hatboro-Horsham, their record now sits at 6-4.
Everything went Hatboro-Horsham's way against New Hope-Solebury in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hatboro-Horsham made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hatters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
