Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maryville, Trinity Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks by a score of 73-64. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their 30-point performance the contest before.

Trinity Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Brayden Waller went 9 of 13 en route to 23 points along with six boards and five steals and Kaleb Williams went 8 of 13 on his way to 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Craddock, who posted four points and three steals.

Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Hardin Valley Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Trinity Christian Academy and Hardin Valley Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Trinity Christian Academy (ranked 38th) will meet South Gibson (ranked 174th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Trinity Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. Similarly, Hardin Valley Academy (ranked 42nd) will meet Rancho Buena Vista (ranked 189th) at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.
