The Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Nashoba Valley Tech with points to spare, taking the game 69-51. Innovation Academy pushed the score to 52-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings cut but never quite recovered from.
Innovation Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Derrick Twum, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Twum is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Kankam, who scored 22 points.
Innovation Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Innovation Academy will be playing at home against the at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nashoba Valley Tech, they will head out on the road to take on the Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Murdock is on a six-game streak of home losses, the Vikings a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
