The Mountain Ridge Sentinels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Wasatch. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Mountain Ridge had strong showings from Spencer Krainich, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Will Lindsay, who scored 17 points. The match was Lindsay's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Sylvester, who scored four points along with seven assists.
Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Wasatch, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Mountain Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wasatch and Timpview will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Timpview's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
