5A Region III District 19 recap September 4, 2013
Katy's Kyle Porter rumbled for the longest rushing play in 5A Region III District 19 this season in his game against Klein last week. Porter ran for 69 yards on the play and finished with 141 on the day as his team bested the Bearkats.
Cinco Ranch scaled the state rankings by moving to 161 from 242 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make move up by besting Cypress Ranch 38-7.
Katy's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kiley Huddleston threw for 113 and 2 touchdowns and Andy Coonrod had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Rodney Anderson contributed 209 yards. Anderson helped Katy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 37 yards.

Tops in the league in receving yards is Cinco Ranch's Sam Straughan, with 58 yards on 2 catches.
Katy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. The Tigers vanquished the Bearkats 41-3 earlier in the week.
