The Savannah Bluejackets won the last time they faced the Claxton Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Savannah strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 46-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Savannah.
Tania Bryant continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ernajah Mallard, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Claxton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayda Jordan, who scored ten points, and Zarriana Ortaviyah harden who scored nine points.
Savannah's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7. As for Claxton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Savannah will head out on the road to square off against the Gamecocks at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Screven County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season. As for Claxton, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Blue Tide at 4:00 p.m. Long County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
