Basketball Recap: Saint Thomas More Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Noah Kloska and Luke Kloska

After flying high against Portage Christian two weeks ago, Saint Thomas More Academy came back down to earth. The Saint Thomas More Academy Griffins took a hard 79-61 fall against the Victory Christian Academy Lions on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (57), the Griffins still had to take the loss.

Saint Thomas More Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Kloska and Noah Kloska. Luke went 10-for-17 to rack up 24 points, while Noah shot 50% from the field on his way to 23 points and eight boards. Luke is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Victory Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Whitaker, who went 9-for-16 en route to 21 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Quinn Jordan, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards.

Saint Thomas More Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. Victory Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
