With a playoff win on the line, Pace Academy rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Cartersville Hurricanes. The  win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on 16 straight.
 Lawson Monroe paced Pace Academy's offense, picking up 21 kills. Monroe were helped by Britton McGurn and  Olivia Siskin, who contributed 22 assists each.  Zoe Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 When it comes to explaining why Cartersville lost, don't look at  Mckenzie Wilkie. Despite the final result, she  had 29  digs and three  aces. With that strong performance,  Wilkie is now averaging an impressive 10.1  digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sydney Seigler, who  had 14  digs and three  aces.
Pace Academy's victory bumped their record up to 35-7. As for Cartersville, they moved to 44-7 with that  defeat, which also ended their 16-match winning streak.
As of now, neither Pace Academy nor the Hurricanes have any future games scheduled.
