Basketball Recap: Oak City Prep Comes Up Short

Oak City Prep lost against Lab University Christian Academy Regional back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears were outmatched by the Kings and fell 93-65. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Oak City Prep lost, don't look at Amazin Dixon. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-20 on his way to 30 points and seven rebounds. Dixon's evening made it 23 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Escoffery, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lab University Christian Academy Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Crawford, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Braylon Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Oak City Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lab University Christian Academy Regional, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
