Greenbrier West came out on top against Van on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-0 win. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Brooklyn Adkins was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ava Price, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Greenbrier West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory (which was Greenbrier West's third in a row) raised their record to 15-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Van, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23.
