James Curry was his usual excellent self, rushing for 157 yards and three touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Brockton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Walter Rodrigues. Despite the final result, he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Rodrigues' longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Braintree now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Brockton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Braintree will head out on the road to face off against New Bedford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Bedford is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Brockton will take on Taunton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taunton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
