The West Morgan Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Vinemont Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Morgan took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Good Hope, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rebels won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rebels as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Drake Moore, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of West Morgan's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-19 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Koby Suggs, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Vinemont not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14th (when they won 15-5). They blew past Hanceville 10-0. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.
Not much got past Banks Borwick, who gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Hanceville off the board.
At the plate, Vinemont let Tucker Mauter and Joshua Rhodes run wild. Mauter went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Rhodes got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits Mauter has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Drummond, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
West Morgan's record is now 7-20. As for Vinemont, their record now sits at 7-15.
West Morgan couldn't quite get it done against Vinemont in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 7-3. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
