On Friday, Oskaloosa was able to grind out a solid win over St. Mary's Academy, taking the game 42-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oskaloosa.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Knueper, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Knueper pulled down eight or more rebounds. Andrew Moats was another key contributor, scoring two points along with four steals.
Oskaloosa's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for St. Mary's Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Oskaloosa will square off against Jackson Heights on Tuesday. Jackson Heights will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. St. Mary's Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Atchison County at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th. Atchison County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
