The Easton Area Rovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freedom. Easton Area has struggled against Freedom recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Easton Area saw an underclassman step up: Lafayette Acree scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Acree scored 15 or more points. Ryan Cornish was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Easton Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easton Area won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Muhlenberg at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Freedom is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Northampton is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
