Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mitchell). They took down the Sturgis Brown Scoopers 72-55 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Kernels as they're now sitting on six straight.

Mitchell's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Sturgis Brown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Mitchell and Spearfish will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Mitchell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Spearfish likes a good challenge.
