The DeKalb Tigers are taking a road trip to  challenge the Mid-Buchanan Dragons  at 8:30  a.m.  on Saturday. DeKalb has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the  game with three straight  losses, while Mid-Buchanan will come in with 15 straight  wins.

  Dru Pearson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Pearson was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Sophia Smith and  Kaleigh Strong did most of the damage at the plate:  Smith  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Strong  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Smith is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   stolen at least one every time she's  taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was  Lindy Eaton, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mid-Buchanan  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with eight  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penney only tossed three.
 DeKalb's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for Mid-Buchanan, their win was  their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 19-1.
 DeKalb suffered a grim  6-0 defeat to Mid-Buchanan  when the teams last played  back in September of 2018. Can DeKalb avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
