 Gibbs took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-19,  25-20.
 Tiana Mckenzie paced Gibbs' offense, picking up six kills. Mckenzie got some help from  Gwendolyn Fish and her nine assists. Mckenzie was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
 Seminole's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Lara Stefanovic, who  had 12  kills, 12  digs,  and seven  aces. With that strong performance,  Stefanovic is now averaging an impressive 2.2  aces per game. Another player making a difference was  Rylee Mueller, who  had nine  aces and six  digs.
Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Seminole, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-9.
 Gibbs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seminole, they will square off against DeSoto County at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
